چکیده

Abstract Background Intussusception is the most common abdominal emergency in children. The first line treatment of uncomplicated pediatric intussusception enema reduction. Until now, there have been no multi-center studies comparing effectiveness and safety UGHR FGAR intussusception. aim this study was to compare two commonly used methods intussusception: ultrasound-guided hydrostatic reduction (UGHR) fluoroscopy-guided air (FGAR). Methods From November 1, 2017 October 31, 2018, we conducted a multi-center, prospective, cohort study. Children diagnosed with four large Children’s Medical Centers China were divided into groups. Stratified analysis subgroup for further comparison. success recurrence rates evaluate perforation rate Results A total 2124 cases met inclusion criteria (UGHR group: 1119 cases; 1005 cases). group higher than (95.80%, 9.28% vs. 93.13%, 10.65%) ( P < 0.05, > 0.05), respectively. 0.36% compared 0.30% 0.05). Subgroup showed patients onset time between 12 24 h (95.56% 90.57%) Of aged 4 months, also (95.77% 91.60%) symptom bloody stool (91.91% vs 85.38%) Conclusions are safe, nonsurgical acute superior FGAR, radiation risk, its higher, without difference rate, especially 4–24 months. Level evidence II.

Ultrasound-Guided Hydrostatic Reduction of Childhood Intussusceptions Using Water Enema

Conventional hydrostatic barium reduction or pneumatic reduction of intussusception is associated with considerable ionizing radiation. The aim of this study was to evaluate ultrasound-guided hydrostatic reduction for childhood intussusception using water enema. A total of 76 children who diagnosed as having intussusception were referred to Doctor Sheikh Children Hospital in Mashhad (northeast ...

Sonographycally guided hydrostatic reduction of childhood intussusception

Background. Intussusception is the most common cause of bowel obstruction in children under two years of age. The proximal part of the bowel and its mesentery (the intussusceptum) enter within that part immediately beneath it (the intussuscipiens). Being pulled by peristalsis the mesenterial vessels get compressed which result in ishaemia of the bowel wall. Most intussusceptions are ileocolic. ...
